banner engineering
ux/ui designer & digital design manager
plymouth, mn

I lead the digital marketing team and play a key role in shaping the company’s global web presence across 20 multilingual sites. I’ve helped evolve the brand’s digital identity through UI design while ensuring a seamless, data-driven user experience for a complex B2B audience. My approach to UX research combines industry best practices with direct user insights, gathered in a way that feels natural and helpful rather than intrusive. I translate these findings into clear and extensive requirements for our web/dev team through agile workflows. Beyond UX, I’ve redesigned several eCommerce experiences, optimized discovery of the product catalog through faceted search and interactive table designs, and I oversee site regression testing to maintain performance and reliability. I am instrumental in SEO strategy, helping to implement SEO monitoring tools and personalization technology to refine the customer experience. My role is equal parts brand development, strategy, and execution - ensuring that Banner’s digital presence supports both business goals and user needs.

skills

tools

character

Matthew was an invaluable member of our creative team at Supervox Agency. He’s smart, great at problem-solving, on the cutting edge of technology and all things digital, and terrific at changing gears quickly when priorities get shuffled.

Greg Dahlager, Account Director

Matthew was an excellent employee, but more importantly a great person to work alongside for years– solid in every way. An inquisitive mind, a wiz with technology, eager to solve problems.

Tim Sauer, Partner

Matthew pays close attention to details, setting up clear templates or standards for himself (and others that may be sharing the work he’s doing). One of the things I most appreciated about Matthew was his desire to learn new or better ways of doing things.

Stephanie Polus, Project Manager
